Paraguay welcomes Colombia to their home turf on 22nd November 2023 for a world cup qualification North American edition.
On Tuesday, Paraguay will face Colombia in a World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco.
Paraguay enters this game after a 0-0 draw with Chile in their most recent match. Tigre center-back Robert Rojas was sent off in the first half for Paraguay, while CSKA Moscow midfielder Victor Mendez was sent off in the second half for Chile.
Paraguay's squad contains some intriguing players. Attacker Antonio Sanabria began his career with Barcelona and Roma, and the 27-year-old has since played for clubs such as Real Betis and Genoa before joining Torino. Last season, he scored 12 league goals for the Italian club.
Oscar Cardozo, forty, has also been named to the squad. The striker had a prolific spell at Benfica and is now a consistent goalscorer for Club Libertad.
Colombia, on the other hand, has a formidable squad. Luis Diaz of Liverpool recently scored a brace against Brazil, while James Rodriguez remains a member of the national team setup.
Yaser Asprilla is a talented youngster who has attracted interest from clubs such as Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion. If the latter are interested, the 19-year-old is unquestionably a player to watch.
Yerry Mina of Fiorentina, Mateus Uribe of Al Sadd, and Jefferson Lerma of Crystal Palace have all been called up.
Colombia will be buoyed by their victory over Brazil and should prevail here.
Prediction: Paraguay 0-2 Colombia
