On Sunday, Scotland will host Norway at Hampden Park in another round of 2024 European Championship qualifiers.
The home team had a memorable European qualification campaign and will be making their first appearance in the final tournament since 1996. In their most recent game, they drew 2-2 with Georgia, falling behind twice but coming back to tie both times thanks to second-half goals from Scott McTominay and Lawrence Shankland.
Scotland leads Group A with 16 points after seven games. They will want to end their international break on a high note in front of their home fans.
Meanwhile, Norway has had mixed results in the qualifiers and is hoping for a playoff spot now that automatic qualification is out of the question. On Thursday, they hosted the Faroe Islands at the Ullevaal Stadion and won 2-0 thanks to goals from Oscar Bobb and Jorgen Strand Larsen, with the former scoring his first international goal.
The visitors are currently third in the table with 10 points and will look to add to that total this weekend.
Scotland is winless in four games, with three of those games ending in defeat. They have, however, won their last six competitive games at home and will be confident going into the weekend clash.
Norway, on the other hand, has won five of their last six games in all competitions after winning only one of their previous seven. They have, however, struggled for results on the road recently and could fall to Scotland on Sunday.
Prediction: Scotland 2-1 Norway
