Simon Kabu is undoubtedly well-known in Kenya as a successful entrepreneur who lives a lavish lifestyle. Many people are unaware that he achieved his current position via a lot of hard work and determination. He leads a life that many would envy, and his company has established itself as one of Kenya's leading tour companies. This is a man who comes from humble circumstances but did not allow his background to define him.
Early life
Simon graduated from high school in the early 90's, he worked at his aunt's mandazi and chapati kiosk. He then joined Egerton University to pursue a bachelor's degree in economics and statistics. Unfortunately, while he was in the middle of studying, his parents could not afford to pay his tuition. He has two options, give up or find a way to raise funds and then back out. The young Kabu then got a job as a salesman working on Githurai Road 44. He quit his job after making some money and went back to university, where he sold CDs for a living. The first job he got after finishing college was as a dairy loader. (source:

Career
Successful businessman is the Regional Sales Manager of Unga Group Ltd. That's when he got the idea to start a travel agency.
In 2007 there is no whatsapp so what they have are google groups. The group chose him to coordinate a year-end trip. He was chosen to do it along with Sara Kabu and several others and the event was a great success. In 2008, they were asked to coordinate another trip, and after successful implementation, it was time to get the money. They thought they would get paid through Mpesa, but instead, they were asked for the name of their company so they could write a check. Sitting around a bonfire in the Maasai Mara, the name Bonfire Adventures was born.
Marriage
Simon Kabu met Sara in December 2007 and a wonderful friendship began to turn into love. The couple spoke on Ebru TV in 2018 and Sara said that Simon always gives her presents. He shows up on the first date with flowers and always shows up with something on the following dates. The proposal was unexpected and she wasn't even ready, not even dressed or even done her hair. In fact, when Kabu woke her up the morning of the proposal, she didn't want to go.
They held an invite-only ceremony at the Naivasha Country Club, a spectacular blend of nature that combines both nature and beach. The groom and his men rode while the bride and her servants arrived by boat. They then spent a month-long honeymoon in Kenya before heading to other destinations. After the honeymoon, they continued to work hard to expand the business.
In December 2012, they welcomed their first child, a boy named Austin Kabu, and four years later, they welcomed their second child, a girl. Simon is known to often surprise his wife. He once caused a stir in the CBD when he surprised his wife with a black Range Rover for her birthday and in 2020, surprised her with a wonderful party on their birthday. The party had a few guests including the WaJesus family and Bahatis. They have a YouTube channel to share some of their precious family moments.
Couples can work together harmoniously as marriage and business partners by establishing boundaries and defining their roles in the business.
