Kambua Mathu was born on November 10, 1986 in Nairobi, Kenya. She is the second of three children born to Professor Manundu and Evangelist Lois Manundu, co-founders of Tabibu Ministries.
Kambua Mathu started her education at Kianda Primary School. As part of her extracurricular activities, she joined the school chorus. Kambua Mathu then went to Lukenya Academy for secondary school.
