Officer from the Nairobi Inspectorate to face disciplinary action
When the video of the incident went viral, people on the internet expressed a range of emotions, most of them were positive, applauding the woman for enforcing the law on her own. Investigating the situation, Nairobi County Secretary Patrick Analo stated that although the woman was offended, she made a mistake by holding the man in her car and taking off with him.
Analo countered that by holding the officer, the woman committed the error of piling one wrong onto another. She should have taken the man to the police station so that she could file a complaint. On the other hand, he threatened to discipline the county marshal. The woman claimed that after exiting the camera, she and the man went for a lengthy drive.
