Renowned for his vast experience as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, Patrick was previously the head of the Ministry's Directorate of Public Health. In this role, he developed strategies for the efficient provision of healthcare services across all 47 counties in Kenya and played a pivotal role in the establishment and coordination of the nation's Universal Health coverage.

After a successful tenure as Chief Medical Specialist and Senior Deputy Director of Medical Services at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Nairobi, Dr. Amoth oversaw the Department of Health Sector Coordination and Intergovernmental Affairs.


Having started as a medical officer at Kisumu's Provincial Hospital and worked his way up to become the Medical Superintendent of the former Kiambu District Hospital, which is now Kiambu County Referral Hospital, Dr. Amoth has extensive experience in the civil service. Later on, he was Kiambu East and Kiambu West Districts' (now Kiambu County's) Director of Medical Services.

During his tenure at Kiambu, Dr. Amoth is recognized for his exceptional managerial abilities, as well as his ability to successfully raise funds for the hospital, launch numerous initiatives, and transform the way additional institutions build their infrastructure.

Dr. Patrick Amoth received his medical degree from the University of Nairobi and also holds a master's degree in obstetrics and gynecology from the same institution. Additionally, he has a diploma in health systems management from Israel's Galilee College.
