Dr. Ezekiel Mutua is the CEO of Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB), a position he takes extremely seriously. Because to his rigorous restrictions, he has irritated a segment of Kenyans and musicians.
Many types of information, including commercials, were prohibited during his tenure as CEO of KFCB. Many believe he exceeds his authority. However, he contends that the safeguarding of children from hazardous content, such as bad language, vulgarity, and violence, is vital to his job.

He began as a trainee reporter in 1994 and ascended through the ranks to become a sub editor at the Nation Media Group in 1998. In 2001, he was appointed secretary of the Kenyan Union of Journalists (KUJ). The KUJ is a professional Union of Journalists that advocates for both the interests of journalists as workers and press freedom.
He joined the government in 2007 as the director of Information and Public Communication before becoming the information secretary and then the CEO of Kenya Film and Classification Board.

The Kenya Films and Classification Board has been tasked with classifying all films before they are released to the public. If you think the moral cop ends there, think again; he has previously prohibited gatherings. He banned a party in 2016 after its organizers distributed marketing posters in Nairobi proclaiming that "no one is going home a virgin" and that it would be "one night to lose your virginity."
