Bonang Matheba (queen B)'s Biography in Summary

Bonang Matheba (born June 25, 1987 in Mahikeng) is a South African entrepreneur, producer, and philanthropist. She is also a popular television presenter, radio personality, and model.

She has gained popularity among television viewers due to her flamboyant presentation skills. Her distinctive voice has also made her a household name among television viewers.

She worked as a presenter on LIVE (now Live Amp), a SABC1 music show. She rose to prominence in the media industry as a result of her role as a show host.
 

To add to her celebrity, the model is the first Black South African to be featured in a number of magazines. In 2011, she was the first South African celebrity to launch an online reality show, B*Dazzled.

She became Revlon's first international ambassador outside of the United States in 2013. The following year, she hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards (2014) pre-show. This is another first for her, as she is the first African to receive an E! News Special Africa on E!

She is the daughter of Charlotte Mokoena and Gampi Matheba. Gampi, her father, is a senior lecturer at the North-West University. Bonang's mother is Sasol's executive vice president of human resources and corporate affairs.

She is Reabetswe's younger sister. Her sister has also appeared on film. She finished as one of the top three contestants at Miss International South Africa. 

Unfortunately, their parents divorced, but her mother remarried and had Thabo. Her family relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa, to Leondake.

Career TV
She first appeared on television in 2002 on Manhattan Fantasy Challenge, a kids show on SABC2. She auditioned for the first season of the music show LIVE in 2007. 
 

After graduating from varsity, she auditioned for the SABC1 music show.

She co-hosted the show with Tbo Touch, and she left after her final episode in August 2012. After leaving the show, other opportunities arose, including hosting Clash of the Choirs SA, Afternoon Express, Top Billing, and others.

She has hosted several award shows and notable events as a host. She made her first appearance in a drama role on the show Intersexions in 2008. She played Nurse Seipati in the SABC1 show.

In 2019, she starred in the film Public Figure. Bonang worked on the documentary as a co-producer. She founded her production company, Bonang Matheba Entertainment, in 2017.

Radio
She has a radio presence in addition to being a popular television personality. In 2009, she received a phone call from the popular radio station YFM informing her that she would be joining their new lineup of presenters.

She then got her weekend show, The B*Hive, which caters to young listeners. She left the radio show after five years in 2014.

She became the new Disk Jockey for Metro Station the following year, in 2015. Bonang succeeded Siphokazi in January. Radio listeners enjoyed her appearances on The Front Row.

Boyfriend
She was in a romantic relationship with Euphonik, a record producer and DJ, in 2012. Their relationship was rocky, and her ex-boyfriend was charged with assault after it appeared he physically assaulted her.

Bonang chose to drop the charges after they reconciled, and people had to accuse her of lying about what happened. She began dating popular rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, professionally known as AKA, in 2015. Their relationship ended in 2017.
