He entered the full-time ministry in 1989 and was named pastor of a local church in 1993. Bishop Harrison Ngang'a was appointed as the Reverend and Overseer of seven local churches by Apostle E.N. Benson through consistency and hard work. His Grace, in 1999, Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a was installed as the first presiding Bishop of the Christian Foundation Fellowship Churches C.F.F.(K), and his wife Lucy was ordained as a Reverend.

On June 29, 1991, he married his beloved Rev. Lucy Murugi in Nyahururu. Hellen Mukuhi, Benson Ng'ang'a, Peter Kahugu, and Kezianna Wambui are the couple's four children.
