Esther Akoth  ( Akothee ) a.k.a Madam boss is a Kenyan musician and businesswoman who has build and made her name through shear work and determination. She is one of the few ladies who have made their fortune through music industry which is much dominated by men.

Born on 8th April 1980 in Migori county to mother Monica Yunita Kekeyo and father Joshua Owino; She attended Nyabisawa girls secondary school but dropped out one year later in form two before completing her high school when she eloped with her boyfriend also a student and entered  in early marriage. She was forced to stay with her mother in law after her boyfriend went back to school.She worked in her mother in law's home as a house help for seven years.During this time she conceived and bore her first child at age of 14 years.She gave birth to her second and third child at age fifteen and sixteen respectively. In the year 2000 she gave birth to fourth child at 17 yes of age .She later disagreed with her mother in law and moved to Kanga market where she worked as a fish hawker.She resumed her highschool studies in 2003 at Gachie mixed secondary school and did her KCSE exam in 2004 at age of 21 years where she got a meangrade of C+ .

Akothee's career  in Music started in 2008 and since she has released many songs with several collaboration with popular artists including Diamond Platinamz (Sweet love) ,Oyoyo featuring MC Galaxy among others.She has won several  music awards including African muzik Magazine award as the best female artist and the best video.

Akothee has accumulated her wealth mainly through music .She has managed to establish successful companies such ; Akothee safaris which is a tours company .Akothee homes Which is a real estate  and the akothee foundation which is involved in assisting the needy in the society.

Akothee is the self appointed and proclaimed 'president' of single mothers.
