On Saturday, two sides separated by a single point in the Championship table will clash when they return from the international break, as Stoke City host Blackburn Rovers.
The hosts have risen to 14th in England's second tier thanks to a run of form before the break, while their visitors are only a point better off in 12th.
Predictions for the game
Stoke City will return to action at the weekend, hoping to pick up where they left off before the break, after a difficult start under Alex Neil.
The Potters managed just 10 points from their first 11 Championship games, winning three and losing seven, but they appeared to turn a corner in late October, going unbeaten before the suspension.
That began with a 2-1 win at home against Sunderland, thanks to goals from Ryan Mmaee and Luke McNally, and Neil's men would go on to win three straight in impressive fashion, first defeating promotion-chasing Leeds United 1-0 thanks to Pascal Struijk's own goal, then defeating promotion-chasing Middlesbrough 2-0 at the end of last month.
While they have been unable to extend their winning streak, the Potters have managed to go into the break unbeaten, having most recently played out consecutive goalless draws at home to Cardiff City and away to Coventry City.
Stoke City will be keen to extend their unbeaten streak on their return to action and put up a victory to leapfrog their opponents and continue their climb, having returned to action well rested and with only a one-point gap up to the top half and a five-point gap to the playoff places.
Meanwhile, their visitors will look to close the gap between the two teams and improve their own top-six chances with a win on Saturday.
Blackburn Rovers have had a mixed start to the new Championship season, sitting 12th with 22 points from their first 16 games, having managed seven victories while only the bottom three have suffered more than their eight defeats.
Following four straight league defeats in late September and early October, Jon Dahl Tomasson's team responded in spectacular fashion, winning four of the next five games.
With ninth-placed Cardiff City only two points ahead and sixth-placed Sunderland only four points better off, Tomasson's men will know that they can quickly improve their standing with another string of results when they return to action.
Our Prediction
We believe the Swansea will win this coveted fixture. And also there wont be many goals.
