If there's one upcoming female singer I really admire, it's Yviona Musa, also known as Yviona Reign.
When she was still new to the local industry, she would promote her album in the Central Business District (CBD), particularly near Nation Centre.
This way, more people learned about her and her beautiful music. Before Yviona knew it, her songs were being broadcast on television and local radio stations.
Interestingly, she had no real intention of becoming a musician. In a previous interview, the lovely lady revealed that her cousin had sent her a beat and asked her to record herself singing to it.
That day, the 29-year-old knew she wanted to be a musician. Despite facing challenges while writing her first song, she quickly mastered the art.
Yviona rose to prominence after recording a rousing rendition of Sauti Sol's popular hit Melanin. She became the talk of the town for weeks after releasing it, thanks to her beautiful voice.
Since then, she has released several of her own songs. They include Yea Girl, Sick, Fanta, Baddest Bitch in Africa, Secret, Thug Love with King Kaka, and Coco, my personal favourite.
