Wajja Victor, better known as Victor Ruz, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter best known for his love songs. He primarily performs R&B, Afropop, and Afrobeat. His smooth vocals and lyrical abilities have helped him stand out as an artist in a short period of time.

Victor Ruz was born in the year 2000 in Mayuge, Uganda's easternmost district. He attended Peterson P/S, Kyoga SS for primary school, and Mehta SS for high school. In 2021, I will begin a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration program at Victoria University. His passion for music eventually drew him into the music industry, where he launched his career with Love Legend in 2019.
 

Victor Ruz's passion for music began when he was a child. He was inspired by his mother, who always believed he possessed a special talent. He would not miss any of the events or performances going on around him.

In July 2019, he broke into mainstream music with the release of his first single, "Love Legend," which was well received, particularly by fans of love music.

Kikomando, Ndeese Love, Official, and Rebecca were among the songs that followed.

During a heated election period for the Speakership of the Parliament of Uganda in 2021, Victor Ruz released a song called Rebecca for the then-reigning Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, after her party dropped her as a flag bearer.

After releasing the single "Official" in 2021, Victor Ruz announced the end of his first episode in the music industry and the beginning of his second episode, in which he made it clear that his fans would be in charge of their brand. He demonstrated this by allowing them to vote on which of the two songs, Tattoo and Wansala, would be released first. The latter took it home and dropped it on July 16, 2021.

He ended his 2021 musical year with the release of his single "Ogeza" in November. Tanzanian producer Bob Manecky created the song.

Rebrand
Victor Ruz shocked his fans in November 2021 when he posted photos of himself without his dreadlocks. He explained it as a rebranding for the sake of his career. 

Personal life
Victor Ruz is not currently involved with anyone. In 2020, he was rumored to be dating fellow singer Vivian Tendo, which both artists denied. He later confessed his feelings for Desire Luzinda's daughter Michelle.
