Steve Ogolla's Biography in Summary

A well-known municipal attorney and political pundit is Steve Ogolla. His ascent to the top hasn't been simple. His life is the best illustration of the value of perseverance, hard effort, and drive. The attorney faced obstacles that seemed insurmountable in his effort to realize his dreams. He no longer supports quick achievement and maintains that diligence and discipline are vital.

Steve Ogolla Education

The attorney completed his KCPE in 1997 and was chosen as the head boy of his elementary school. As the first member of his family to complete primary education and enroll in high school, he was accepted at St. Mary's Yala. His primary school teachers stepped in to save him by covering his Form 1 tuition because his parents were unable to pay the costs.

He was unable to remain at St. Mary's after Form One because of a lack of funds. He remained in Kibera with his brother. He would take notes from his Form 2 classmates. His elementary teachers saved the day once more by paying for him to enroll in form 3 at a day school in Ugenya. He took the KCSE in 2001 and received a B-.

Second Attempt

Heeding to advice from a friend, he registered for KCSE at a school in Ugenya. He continued to hawk in Nairobi and would read at night. In November that year, he sat for KCSE and scored a B plain. Unfortunately, he missed the university entry point by one mark.  A frustrated Ogolla moved to Mombasa where he took up a number of odd jobs. From off loading ships at the port to selling salad, he did all he could to survive.

At the end of 2004, he moved back to Ugenya. The aim was to open a barber and video shop. His business failed to materialize as he met his schoolmates who at the time were already in university. Hearing their experiences about campus made him realize he was missing out. He thought of a future where his friends would visit the village years later and come to shave at his barber shop. It wasn’t the life he wanted.

Third attempt

With the intention of enrolling in college, the driven young guy made the decision to attend school one last time. After being absent for so long, the principal of Ambira Boys, where he was admitted, expressed concern about his capacity to adjust to school.

He only recently became familiar with the subject, thus he only received a C- on his first exam. He took the KCSE for the third time in 2005 and received an A. He claims that getting the grade was difficult and that he had to stay up until 1 am reading.

When Steve Ogolla enrolled at Moi University, HELB was not enough to support him. He was compelled by this to begin selling kienyeji chicken.

Steve Ogolla Breakthrough

He couldn't enroll in Kenya School of Law after finishing law school because he lacked the required Sh190,000. He started working at a Gikomba community-based group up until 2012, when LSK called to tell him he had been selected as one of the two recipients of the Kenya School of Law Scholarship. Although he could not afford the daily fare to LSK, this was nevertheless good news. As a result, from Nairobi West to Karen, he occasionally walked.

Fortunately, everything worked out, and he continued on to study for a master's in governance.

He now has a loyal following and frequently appears on our televisions to discuss various political issues. In a previous interview, he noted that he had said that he valued work, and

The attorney has handled some high-profile matters and defended well-known people and entities. LSK was represented by Steve Ogolla in a number of disputes, including the one in which LSK asked the president to select 41 judges. Julius Malembo's election as governor was another case before the court of appeals.
