Smriti Vidyarthi is a Kenyan journalist and news anchor for Nation Media Group's NTV. She comes from a family that has been involved in the media since Kenya's independence. Her grandfather, the late Girdhari Lal Vidyardhi, was a journalist and a pioneer of Kenya's free press.

The news anchor is a well-educated lady who has attended some of the world's top universities. She graduated with honors from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Performance Studies. She also holds a Masters of International Broadcast Journalism from City University (UK).
Smriti Vidyarthi Career
Smriti's media career began when she joined K24 as a Business News Anchor. She joined NTV in 2008 and began her career as a prime-time news anchor with Larry Madowo. She also hosted the NTV Wild Talk, a program about wildlife and conservation.
Smriti won the News Bulletin category at Kenya's fourth Annual Journalism Excellence Awards (AJEA) in 2015. She was nominated alongside the first runner-up, Ali Khamis Manzu, and the second runner-up, Annette Akisa Wandera.
The CNN journalist maintains a high degree of professionalism that is recognized throughout the country. She is part of the team that has been chosen to host the presidential debate on July 26th.

Smriti is a family lady who is married to Aman Mohindra. They married in 2009 and had their first kid in 2018.
