Linet Munyali was born and raised in Nairobi. Her family later moved to Maringo Estate in Eastlands. Size 8 parents, Esther Njeri and Samuel Kirui Munyali were part of the clergy, and their association with the church introduced her to Christianity. In a recent documentary on NTV, Size 8 noted that although her family managed to take them to school, there were challenges. Conversely, the challenges did not stop her from excelling in education and getting a scholarship to one of the best girls' schools in Kenya — the State House Girls'.
Apart from being a key entertainment figure, Size 8's relationship with DJ Mo is one of the most followed love stories in Kenya.
