Paul Simba Arati is a Kenyan politician who is a member of the Orange Democratic Movement and has represented the people of Dagoretti North in parliament. He was proclaimed the winner of the Kisii County Governor's campaign and is now the Kisii County Governor-elect. This follows his victories over political heavyweights Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri and former Chief Administrative Secretary Chris Obure.

Arati is a well-educated person who obtained his academic credentials and certificates from some of the leading institutions in the region and abroad. He attended Kisii's Suneka High School before enrolling at the Kenya Polytechnic to study tourism. As he began selling veggies, his entrepreneurial side came to the fore.

He began attending a primary school in Kisii in 1987 and was later transferred to Bura in Tana River due to his extreme misbehavior. Simba Arati took his KCPE exams in 1994.
Arati attended Nyamache Secondary School in 1995 and was later expelled. He then transferred to Suneka Secondary School, where he finished his KCSE exams in 1998.
Arati enrolled in Kenya Polytechnic in 2001 and graduated with a Tourism Management diploma in 2003.

Simba Arati approached his political career with caution and foresight, spreading his seeds at a young age. He met various people and established networks through his vegetable sales in Kawangware, which facilitated his entry into politics.
He was elected to the Nairobi City Council before running for the Dagoretti North MP seat. He has served on various committees and policy-making bodies in parliament, including the Committee on Implementation and the Departmental Committee on Agriculture and Livestock.
He has lofty expectations for himself as a politician and has always stated his desire to run for president in the future, deeming the smaller wrangles unsuited for him. Aside from politics, he was previously the Managing Director of Aipa Safaris Limited.

Arati has two children and is married to one wife. His family is not involved in his public political life. His Chinese-born wife rarely appears in public, but when she does, she is given the opportunity to address the audience. Simba Arati gave his wife a Kisii name known as Kwamboka. Together, they have 2 kids.
