We moved here a few years ago, and he frequently comes home in a helicopter, landing at his father's compound and crossing over. He doesn't spend much time here when he comes," a neighbour, Mariah Silvanus, told the Standard. His neighbors describe him as a generous man who enthusiastically participates in church building harambees and academic sponsorship fundraisers.
According to the publication, he also owns a house in Upper Elgon View, which is located near the main Eldoret-Nakuru Road in the Annex Area, directly behind Moi University's Law School. The house is said to stand out from the others in the neighborhood like a fortress. It allegedly has an intimidating gate, a brick wall, and an electric fence. The house is said to be near the Eldoret State Lounge. Kibet also owns a luxurious house in Nairobi's Karen Estate.
