Controversies

'Wah Taj' Film Scandal

Shreyas and the makers of the Marathi film 'Wah Taj' were served with a legal notice for disseminating false information in order to promote the film. The 'Wah Taj' team distributed posters in Agra and surrounding cities. The Taj Mahal will be closed to tourists beginning September 23, 2016, according to the posters. [3] During an interview, Shreyas stated, "I got to know that there has been a legal notice sent to the makers of the film, but it was just a part of the movie promotions and marketing strategy, I don't understand why it is taken to another level by blowing."

Charged with Theft

During the coronavirus lockdown in 2021, Rahul Bhandare, an Indian film producer, filed a complaint against Shreyas and Suresh Sawant (an Indian film director) for using his property without his permission and violating pandemic guidelines. Rahul told reporters during an interview,

"During the lockdown, theaters were closed due to Corona's influence." As a result, the set for my play 'Albatya Galbatya' was installed in Praveen Bhosale's godown in Kala Chowki's Kolsa Bunder. Suresh Sawant, on the other hand, stole the set from the godown without hesitation and used it for the one-act shoot of Shreyas Talpade's OTT platform. During the lockdown, a commercial shoot was conducted illegally at Swatantryaveer Savarkar Natyagriha, using the set of Albatya's play 'Galbatya,' in violation of government rules, despite the fact that theatres throughout Maharashtra are closed."
