Gituku has been with Citizen TV since November of 2014. After reporting on the Garissa University incident, he first won Kenyans' hearts. Because he was so young and talented, he received an award from Kenya's media council.
Marriage
His surprising wedding to coworker Ivy Waitherero made news. Few knew about the wedding or even his engagement because he is a very discreet person. The lavish wedding took place in May 2019 at The Deliverance Church in Karen, with the reception at Nairobi Academy. Ivy is a Citizen TV director and journalist, and some of the media's biggest names were in attendance at her wedding.
