The 'Ebbango' song, which is currently playing on various radio stations, has become a sensation among people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.
From the young to the old, from the ordinary to the corporate. It is one of the most popular music pieces of early 2019, not only because of its undeniably soft and neatly layered lyrics and melody, but also because of its 'title', which some guys have adopted as a slogan.
Many people may be unfamiliar with the author of this hit because he has long been confused with Fik Fameica due to their similar voices. This fast rising unique talent, however, is none other than Rickman Manrick, and we have a few details to share with our dear readers today.
Rickman Manrick is a Ugandan artist based in Sweden whose real name is Ddungu Derrick.
Concerning his background, the singer is hesitant to share details about his childhood for personal reasons. He has been in Sweden for seven years.
Football and education
Ddugu is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Sevedalens IF. Because of this talent, he received bursaries to attend schools such as Old Kampala SS for O'Level and St Juliana for A'Level. He is also a teacher at Kvarnbyskolean School for Disabled Children in Sweden.
A Career in Music
Rickman claims he began his music career in 2018 under the management of Geoffrey Timothy alias DT Timo, who he credits as the inspiration for the 'Ebbango' song that is propelling him forward.
Derrick takes relationship issues seriously now that he has split from his first love and believes in an open relationship.
He appears to have a crush on Chosen Becky, the singer of the 2018 hit 'Maama Yankuza,' whom he finds attractive in ways he cannot explain.
