Pius Mayanja, also known as Pallaso, is a well-known Ugandan singer, songwriter, record producer, and cinematographer born on September 5, 1987. In the year 2000, he rose to prominence.


Pallaso has a distinct musical style that sets him apart from other Ugandan singers, and he writes his songs in English as well as Kiswahili and Luganda.

He was born in a hospital in Kawempe, Kampala, and spent his childhood there with his family.

Pallaso's father is Mr. Gerald Mayanja, and his mother is Ms. Prossy Mayanja. His parents have always encouraged him in his musical endeavors.

Brothers

Pallaso has three brothers: Weasel, Jose Chameleon, and the late AK47 Mayanja. They had shared a home since they were children.

Pallaso began his career with the Leone Island group as Lizard before changing his stage name to Pallaso. Mudigidde, his first single, was released in 2003 and was produced by his brother, Jose Chameleone.

Pallaso moved to the United States to further his career in 2006, and he collaborated with rapper The Mess.

In 2014, he worked with DJ Hidrro and Shaggy on the song "Remain in Our Hearts." The song was written in honor of Michael Jackson, The Notorious B.I.G., and Bob Marley, all of whom died in 2009.

He returned to Uganda to become one of the best in the country, releasing "Amaaso" with Goodlyfe Crew, which received positive feedback from fans.
