The actress rose to prominence after starring as Riri, a community health worker. In 2014, she appeared in season twelve of Soul City, a SABC1 youth drama series.

She also appeared as Nhlanhla in the SABC1 youth drama series Loxion Lyric. 

She made her first television appearance as Cindy (guest star) in season one of isiBaya. Her first appearance was in 2013.

The following year, she appeared as a guest star in the SABC1 drama series Task Force and Mfolozi Street.

In 2015, she appeared in season 3 of Rockville, becoming the renowned actress's third guest-starring role. Shona and Connie Ferguson, the late Ferguson couple, produced the popular show.

Nunu was one of the twelve finalists on the first season of She's the One. The show aired on SABC3 from March to June of 2015. She appeared as a guest in Gauteng Maboneng, a SABC2 sitcom.

She landed the lead role of Thandi in High Rollers in September. She took over after Thishiwe Ziqubu left for reasons only she could explain.
