Faustine Charles Mfinanga, well known as Nandy was born on the 9th November 1992, in Mawenzi, Moshi Tanzania. She is a Tanzanian singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and activist.
Currently Nandy is in a relationship with Bill Nass and was officially married to him on 16th July 2022.
Nandy's Music Career and Journey.
She started singing at the age of 5 as an active member of the Sunday school choir. Her career kicked off after she released 'Nagusagusa' which became a huge hit immediately.
In 2016, she participated in Tecno Own Your Stage singing competition, emerging as the first runners up, by which she gained performance confidence, acquired essential knowledge about music and the industry in general.
In 2017, she released a hit single 'One day' which spearheaded her career and opened other opportunities like participating in Coke Studio Africa, and winning the All-Africa Music Awards as the Best Female Artist East Africa, won the AMI Awards Africa as the Best Female Newcomer in 2018, and the 2020 African Entertainment Awards USA as the Best Female Artist.
She has released several singles under her sleeve as; 'Powerful,' 'Ninogeshe,' 'Loyalty,' 'Wanibariki,' 'Kiza Kinene,' 'Number One,' among others, and worked with several artists; JoeBoy, Sauti Sol, Willy Paul, Darassa, Marioo just to mention but few. She recently released an EP Taste with songs; 'Nimekuzoea,' New Couple,' 'Yuda,' 'Yote Sawa,' among others. She is Tanzania's Goodwill ambassador for UNICEF's water, sanitation, and hygiene program (WASH).
