David Mathenge, aka the man born in 1976 is a family man who has caputured the attention of many with how he bonds with his daughters online. The Kenyan music legend hails from Mount Kenya but is loved by many across the country.

Although he comes from Mt Kenya, Nameless was born and bred in Ngong' outskirts of Nairobi.

Nameless Education

Nameless began his formal education at Nairobi Primary School and went on to Strathmore Secondary School to further his education. He used to go by the names Slimy Talls and The Mechanic before settling on the moniker Nameless and going pro with it. To pursue his dream of becoming an architect, Nameless enrolled at the University of Nairobi.

He used to work part-time at a bank during his university years. This enabled him to save enough money to cover the cost of his courses until he completed them.

“What I used to do at the bank was data collection. I was some sort of data clerk. My job entailed submitting data from debit cards, credit cards into the bank systems.” Nameless told the daily nation.

Nameless Relationship

Nameless is a married man. He wedded Wahu Kagwi in 2005 and the couple have 3 daughters together with the last one born just recently in 2022.

Nameless Career

Nameless was a contestant in the Kenyan Urban Music station Capital FM's star-search program in 1999. The star-search was created to aid in the discovery of exceptional artists in the community, and it accomplished its goal.

Megarider, a song by Nameless, was performed in 1999. After winning a star-search competition, the song became his ticket to success in the music industry, and he became a star.

He went on to record the song with Tedd Josiah, a well-known producer. The song became a major hit, spending weeks at the top of the charts. It's a song about a young man who asks a girl out but doesn't have enough money to keep up with her extravagant lifestyle desires.

When he signed with the Ogopa Deejays label in 2001, the musician's career took a turn for the better.

On the popular track Boomba Train, he joined forces with the late E-Sir. In 2002, the musician collaborated with Amani on Ninanoki, a song that cemented Nameless' place in music history. For four months, their single remained at the top of the Kenyan charts.
Nameless has pushed his way into being one of Kenya's most famous musical pioneers, alongside his wife, Wahu Kagwi, by infusing the music with distinct beats of different genres and merging it with a cultural element.
