Philanthropy

The Machakos former first lady is well-known for organizing the county's cancer awareness initiative. This has resulted in cancer screenings for thousands of Machakos locals.

Ng'ang'a also oversees a children's welfare program that has aided a lot of orphaned children. Over 200 children have had their school fees paid for, and beds and mattresses have been provided as part of the program.
She also established the Lilian Ng'ang'a foundation in order to provide sanitary towels to females in the county. By 2017, they had given out over 3,000 sanitary towels and underwear to schoolgirls.
