He is also known for his portrayal of beloved chef Vince Meintjies in 7de Laan. He was a regular on the show for 15 years.


Family

Melani is Jacques's wife. He met her in 2000 while studying at the University of the Witwatersrand. When Melanie moved to the Far East, they had to part ways.

After reuniting at a church service in 2008, fate brought them together. He married her the following year. 

Their union has produced three children, two daughters and a son. In March 2021, his son was born. 

The delighted father took to Facebook to announce the birth of his son, Raphael Jacques Blignaut.

He has appeared in a number of films and television shows. Jacques appeared in the films Inescapable (2012) and Gum and Noses (2004). 

Jacques also appeared in the soap opera 7de Laan on SABC2. For fifteen years, he played Vince Meintjies in the television series. He played Martin van Wyk in the SABC3 telenovela The Estate.
