Dogo Charlie is a well-known Kenyan artist renowned for generating cover songs as well as parody songs. Dogo's full name is Charles Akisha, and he was born in Kericho County in April 1998. Dogo's parents were not financially secure, and they relied on tea pluckers to support their family.
"My childhood was not easy and was full of difficulties. We didn't have enough food or money to pay our school fees because my parents were poor. I began my education in Kericho at Kapsongoi Primary Institution, a public school, and after finishing primary school, I transferred to a senior school in Migori." Charlie Dogo shared.
"I lived at my grandmother's house during primary school. My grandmother couldn't afford to buy food for all of us because there were so many of us living under her roof. We may go to school on an empty stomach and return for lunch with nothing to eat. On my walk to school, I passed a shop where the proprietor showcased their wares. I timed him and snatched soda and bread when he wasn't looking because I was hungry. I really regret this because it led to me being a thief." Dogo provided narration.
