DJ Sumbody (born 9 June), real name Oupa John Sefoka, is a well-known South African DJ and music artist. He rose to prominence after releasing hit songs such as Ayepyep and Monate Mpolaye.
The deejay has kept the love going by releasing more songs that his fans and other music fans enjoy. He created the hit single Suk'emabhozeni, which caused a stir in the South African music industry.
DJ Sumbody was born in Pretoria, South Africa on June 9, the 1980s. He is one of the most in-demand disc jockeys in the country and has made a name for himself in the music industry.
He did, however, make more money through his business.
He learned business skills from his parents and is now a successful entrepreneur.
DJ Sumbody attended Sunnyside Primary School at the start of his academic career. He continued his studies at Bokgoni Technical High School.
Following his matriculation, he enrolled in a degree program at Tshwane University of Technology.
His passion for music was stronger than his passion for academics. He left his educational career in year two to pursue a full-time career in the music industry.
The deejay is doing well in the entertainment industry despite dropping out of school.
His official career beginnings can be traced back to his days as a volunteer producer and presenter.
He was the brains behind Mashaedi on the Engage, which aired on Tshwane.
Monate Mpolaye, a song by the celebrated Deejay, was released in 2018. Fame and other honors accompanied the song that swept the South African music industry.
He rose to national prominence and became well-known. The song was also doing well on streaming sites, with over 3.1 million views on YouTube.
The deejay has also released several albums that have received positive reviews and contributed to his musical success. Larger Than House (Vol. 1 & 2) and Ashi Nthwela are two of his albums.
He has collaborated with and featured several other notable musicians, including DJ Tira, Busiswa, Londie London, and Holly Rey.
Busiswa, Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta, Zakes Bantwini, and Leehleza have also worked with him.
Music is not his only source of income; he also owns and operates the Ayepyep Lifestyle. He and Kagiso Setsetse are partners in the company.
