DJ Black Coffee, widely recognized as Black Coffee, is a renowned figure in the South African music scene, acclaimed as a songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, and proficient Disc Jockey. He goes by his birth name, Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo. Born on March 11, 1975, in Durban, South Africa, Black Coffee hails from a Christian family, with his parents being South African. His father departed when he was just 12 years old, leaving him to fend for himself at an early age. Alongside his mother, he relocated to Ngangelizwe, a town in Umtata. He pursued a Jazz major at the Durban University of Technology, previously known as Technikon Natal.
