He began his musical career as a solo artist. He sang on his own for many years. After singing independently for a few years, he met Nigerian pop star Davido in the United States. He decided to collaborate with Davido after meeting with him. So he returned to Nigeria to collaborate with Davido. He signed a deal with HKN Music after returning to Nigeria.
