Bahati Kenya aka Mtoto Wa Mama aka The Ghetto President is a well known brand in the Kenyan musical industry. Bahati whose real name is Kevin Mbuvi Kioko is known as one of Kenyan's talented musician, song writer,performer, enterpreneur and a family man . He was born 22nd December 1992 in Makueni, Kenya.
He was born in Makueni and brought up in Mathare, Nairobi Kenya. His life took a turn after he lost his mother, and became orphaned at the age of 7 years. He was taken in at the ABC children's home in Mathare, who played a huge role in taking care, raising and seeing him through school, where he attended Nakeel Boys High School - Rongai, Kenya then St. Teresa Boys High School - Eastleigh, Kenya. It was during this time that he started his musical journey and nurtrured his passion for music.
Bahati's breakthrough came after his second hit song 'Wangu' ft Mr Seed, in 19th January 2013 . He released his first album 'Barua ya Bahati' in August 2014 inclusive of songs such as 'Mama,' 'Machozi,' 'Barua,' 'Story Yangu' ft Denno among others. He later ventured into contemporary music and worked alongside talented musicians like Mejja, Prezzo, Akothee and Tanasha Donna, to producing chart topping hit songs. Recently he released his album 'Love Like This,' in which he has expressed his truest self in the tracks including 'Fikra za Bahati,' 'Pete Yangu' ft Nadia Mukami, 'Take it Slow,' among others. His musical journey is immensely growing and seems to have alot more in store for his fans.
