Kenya's moral cop, Ezekiel Mutua, former CEO of the Kenya Films Classification Board, was fired and replaced by Christopher Wambua on August 6, 2021. Christopher Wambua Education and Experience
Between 1988 through 1991, the current KFCB CEO attended Kenyatta University, where he majored in Education with a focus on History and Literature. Later, he enrolled in the University of Nairobi to pursue a master degree in International Studies.
Mr. Wambua also has a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. He studied Mass Communication at the University of Nairobi between 1993 and 1995, getting a postgraduate diploma.
Wambua had been the Communication Manager at the college for nearly fourteen years. He was then promoted to Assistant Director, Multimedia Content and Innovation. Wambua was the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the Kenya Films Classification Board before being selected as the new CEO.
