Jane Chemutai Goin is a Kenyan journalist, author, and editor who presently works as a political affairs/current events reporter and author for Citizen TV. During the 2017 general elections, she was the one who presented live news broadcasts from all of Kenya's counties. Chemutai describes herself as a parliamentary and political reporter on Twitter.
Jane Chemutai is a Kenyan journalist of Kalenjin descent who was born in Nandi County. Her age and birthday have not yet been revealed. We will notify you whenever we obtain this information.
Her professional career began as an intern at Kenya Television Network (KTN). She then got a position at Capital FM as a reporter. She then worked as a current affairs/political correspondent for K24 before relocating to Citizen TV, where she now works. Let us not forget that she was in charge of live reporting on news from all counties during the 2017 general election.
She is one of Kenya's greatest journalists, with approximately 8 years of professional experience. She has experience in developmental journalism, politics and governance reporting, current affairs reporting, event moderating, writing and producing feature articles, live reporting, public speaking, and research.
In 2018, Chemutai and her colleague, political affairs reporter Apollo Kamau, left K24 for Citizen TV. The two were brought in to cover political events and report on parliamentary programming for Citizen TV. This came after Jacque Maribe was barred from appearing on television by James Wakiaga, a High Court of Kenya judge. This occurred following the arrest of his ex-fiancée, Joseph Irungu, in connection with the death of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
In 2018, two political affairs reporters quit the Mediamax Network-owned K24 for the Standard Group-owned Citizen TV, leaving the Kenyan media company stunned. Jane Chemutai and Apollo Kamau were the two reporters. This decision left the station with almost no political journalists, following the firings of Chris Thairu, Duncan Khaemba, and Anders Ihachi in November 2015, when the firm laid off nearly 70 journalists.
Chemutai is Jacque Maribe’s Best Friend forever (BFF). They are always celebrating each other, lifting each other and being there for each other no matter what.
Judging from the fantastic work she does, Goin undoubtedly makes an impressive amount of money. Her monthly salary is not less than Kshs. 600,000 each month.
