Her sudden ascent to stardom was fueled by her dancing to Femmi One and Mejja's song 'Utawezana.' For many Kenyans, her beauty, petite waist, smoldering grin, and sultry rehearsed dancing steps made her an eye candy. Many Kenyans thought she should've been the video vixen for the song. Her dance to the song went viral and eventually became  The Azziad Nasenya Utawezana Challenge that many Kenyans and East Africans hopped onto.

The song has become increasingly popular as a result of the dancing video. She earned the title of Kenyan TikTok Queen because she is one of the few Kenyans who has been verified on the app and has millions of views.

Azziad was cast as the lead female part in a TV series in early 2020. Production was put on hold due to the coronavirus epidemic.

She made her debut as Chichi in the Selina Telenovela on Maisha Magic East by M-Net and MultiChoice in June 2020.

In the series, she also played Bianca and Fatuma.

In July 2020 Azziad also co-hosted Concert Nyumbani, a TV show honoring COVID-19 warriors, alongside Mwaniki Mageria.
