After posting a video of herself using soap to wash an omena (a Silver Cyprinid), media star Kamene Goro has stirred up controversy online once more.

In the video, Kamene is seen scraping through the omena in a basin while adding water to a purported hand wash.

Kamene remarked, "Wow, it smells so nice," as the other people in the room laughed off her action.

Kenyans did not dismiss the gesture.

One of the reasons why everyone should pay attention when we warn them about red flags is because Kamene washed Omena with soap and disinfectant before cooking them for her husband,

Another person described how he used soap to wash Matumbo.

"Kamene Goro's washing omena made me miss my time in college. I recall using soap to wash Matumbo, which I had taken from a dead cow near the school.
