The owner of a Mercedes Benz car related to the alleged murder of a university student in Nairobi's Westlands region has surrendered to police.
This comes after allegations that a witness saw a body being tossed out of a Mercedes Benz on the night the student, Mercy Keino, was killed.
Gigiri police chief Josek Nansio stated that they had launched a manhunt for the owner of the dark Mercedes Benz described by the witness.
The vehicle had been formally identified. The owner appeared today (Monday) at Nairobi's Parklands police station, where he was questioned.
Police are said to be correlating two claims, one regarding the discovery of the body on the road and another from a witness who claimed to have seen a person being thrown out of the Benz on Waiyaki Way.
Ms Keino's death was discovered on Waiyaki Way, hours after she stormed out of a party at Westlands.
She allegedly got into an argument with Juja MP William Kabogo at the gathering.
