Temitope, Adekunle Small Doctor (Iyanu Mashele) is a Nigerian Fuji and afro-pop singer, songwriter, recording artist, and stage performer. The majority of his songs are in Yoruba.
He gained massive attention after releasing a single titled "Mosquito Killer" in 2015, a street-pop of his "Street Ambassador" Album and Small Doctor was preceded by the release of another single: "Penalty" which won the award for "Best Street Hop" at The Headies 2018.

Early Childhood and Education

Small Doctor was born on May 27, 1996, in Dopemu, Nigeria's southwestern region. He is from Ese Odo, Ilaje, Ondo state.  His mother was a teacher who also ran a school, thus the name (Omoiya teacher).

Temitope attended Aina Orosan nursery and primary school before moving on to Oniyawa secondary school in Dopemu, Lagos, where he earned his West African Senior School Certificate. 
He graduated in 2004 and later proceeded to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for his degree, but dropped out for reasons best known to the singer, but the singer remains optimistic about returning to school later. (According to one source, he wants to focus solely on music)
Growing up, the family had to spend more time on the streets, sleeping in bus parks in Oshodi, Mushin, and Lagos Island for many years. 

Career

He began singing at a young age while still in secondary school, specifically in SS1, and began making incredible mixtapes and freestyles. 

Since he was a child, the small doctor has been singing gospel songs. I used to sing in the bathroom and around the house, but I never intended to become an artist. 
His mother and brother were members of the church choir, and his mother allegedly told him that he would one day become a singer. 
He began writing music in 2001 and released his first single, "E ma kanramo mi," in 2003.
Small Doctor was unable to find a good job after dropping out of university, so he decided to pursue a career in music. Growing up in a poor family, he was unable to pay for studio sessions, so he had to struggle and work hard doing a variety of petty jobs.

He rose to prominence in 2014 after dropping his first album titled "street ambassador" which became an instant hit in the southwestern part of the country and contained hit songs like "mosquito killer", "Small Doctor", "Gbagaun" in which he later featured his mentor Alhaji Alabi Pasuma in the remix version.
Small doctor is also known as "Akeweje" (someone who brings kids together), a name he claims was bestowed upon him by his mentor Pasuma, a Fuji legend in Nigeria, due to the singer's popularity among the children in his neighborhood.
Small Doctor has collaborated with numerous Nigerian artists, including Pasuma Wonder, Reminisce, Ycee, and Wizkid.
