Sarz, real name Osaretin Osabuohien, is a Nigerian beatmaker and musician whose interest in music began as a child, influenced by late-90s American hip-hop artists.
Sarz, who was born on March 17, 1989 in Benin City, Edo State, is best known for the tag "Sarz On The Beat/Really" that appears at the beginning or end of all of his musical compositions.
He attended All Saints Primary School for his primary education and Goodwill Secondary School for his secondary education.
He sold his first beat at the age of fifteen, and after producing "See Drama" for Nigerian rap pioneer Lord of Ajasa in 2007, he was introduced to the public. Due to his production credits on several songs by contemporary Nigerian performers such as eLDee and Reminisce, 'Beats By Sarz' is in high demand.
He contributed four songs to Empire Mates Entertainment's compilation album in 2012. Later that year, however, with his breakthrough debut song "Beat of Life (Samba)" featuring pop superstar Wizkid, he made the most impact on the Afropop industry.
Sarz's distinct and innovative beat-making style has propelled him to the top of the global afrobeat scene. Collaborations with artists as diverse as Chris Brown, Drake, and Wizkid can be found on his discography.
Sarz's ever-expanding creative approach has enabled him to discover new talent such as Niniola and Flash.
The latter was the catchy vocalist on the producer's dance-infused hit "Get Up" in 2016. Sarz has maintained his focus and dedication to his work. He intends to continue creating new and intriguing sounds for the rest of the world. The Sarz Academy, his yearly workshop, aims to provide opportunities for young, aspiring artists in Nigeria (TSA). Sarz ultimately wishes to leave a lasting impression on his abilities.
