Natasha Sanaipei Tande aka Sana was born on 22nd March 1985, in Mombasa Kenya. She is known for her many talents; singer, songwriter, actress, entertainer, radio personality, and karaoke host.

Sanaipei Tande's Career Journey.

Sana rose to fame, in 2004, after winning the Coca-cola popstar East Africa talent search, alongside fellow contestants, Kevin Waweru and Pam Waithaka, under the group Sema. The group released ‘Leta Wimbo,’ but unfortunately, they broke off soon after.

In 2006, Sana took upon a solo career and featured in Jua Kali's hit single, ‘Kwaheri,’ and while the song was still at its top, she released her single, ‘Najuta.’ She then ventured into karaoke, and joined Capital FM, as a co-presenter in the Hits Not Homework drive show, alongside Eve D'Souza. Later in 2007, she joined Kiss 100 FM, hosting the Mid-Morning Show, and Keeping It Kenya, over the weekends. She then moved to Easy Fm, now known as Nation Fm in 2013, as a co-presenter alongside Edward Kwach.

In 2014, she released her hit single, ‘Mfalme Wa Mapenzi,’ as part of the Mahaba Project, which was showcasing Swahili love songs. In 2015, after leaving Easy Fm, she decided to focus on her music career full time, and during this period, she released; ‘Rasta Man,’ ‘Ankula Huu,’ among other top hits. After releasing ‘Amina,’ in 2017, she broadened her regional appeal and was featured in Tanzania's, ‘Najiuliza,' with Chege alongside Ray C.

She featured in, Otile Brown's, ‘Chaguo La Moyo, which was Kenyan most-watched video on YouTube. Then later on, in 2020, the duo released another hit, ‘Aiyana.’ She featured in ‘Wangu’ with Nadia Mukami, on her African Popstar EP, and also released some singles of her own; ‘Mdaka Mdakiwa,’ ‘Kunitema,’ ‘Yako,’ among others.

In 2021, she made a diverse movement, and has collaborated with various upcoming, amazing artists like; Dufla, Band Beca, B Classic, Nviiri the Storyteller, among others, in hits as; ‘Nakuja,’ ‘Baridi,’ ‘Dada,’ ‘Hold you.’ Her genre evolves around; R&B, afro-pop, zouk, and Neo Taarab.

She dropped her guard and hosted her last karaoke event in 2020. Her acting career also had her in the limelight. It took momentum after a cameo on NTV's, Auntie Boss, and her recurring role on Maisha Magic's, Varshita, then landed herself a role, in a Swahili soap opera, Aziza. She currently stars, as Nana Tandala, on Maisha Magic tv-series Kina.
