Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon aka Reekado Banks is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, born on the 6th of December 1993, in Lagos Nigeria.
His musical career is a result of having a musical background of a gospel singer sister, and a brother who is a producer, who tutored him on the rudimental of singing, writing, and producing. In 2008, he recorded his first set of songs, that his brother produced, and later submitted in an online talent search by Mavin Records without his consent. This unexpected move was worth it, as it led Banks to win at the competition, and landing a record label with Mavin Records.
In 2014, on the day he signed with the record label, he released his first official single under the label, 'Turn it Up.' He was among the few artists who were featured in the renowned hit song, 'Dorobucci,' and also worked alongside other artists to release more collaborative singles; 'Looku Looku,' 'Arise,' and 'Adaobi.' In 2015, he released an alleged diss track, 'Katapot,' he denied the allegations, claiming he created the song for his fans.
In the same year, he got an endorsement deal, signed by Globacom, a Nigerian telecommunication company. In 2016, he released a studio album, 'Spotlight.' He launched an independent record label, Banks Music, leaving Mavin Records, sucking his brother as his manager, and deciding to further his vision and career to new level dealings. He has then since released some singles under his label; 'Rora,' 'Mama,' 'Chargie,' among others, and worked with numerous artists; Don Jazzy, Harmonize, Tiwa Savage, Di'Ja, Venessa Mdee, Dr. SID, Kida Kudz, Lord Afrixans among others.
