Hubert Mbuku Nakitare (born 2 October 1982) is a Kenyan rapper, radio host, businessman, and philanthropist better known as Nonini. He is also referred to as the "Godfather." He received the moniker for his excellent contributions to Kenya's entertainment scene.
Early Childhood and Education
Hubert Mbuku Nakitare, commonly known as Nonini, was born on October 2, 1982, in California Estate in Nairobi, Kenya's Kamukunji constituency.
Nonini's primary education was unknown to the public, however for secondary school, he attended Kawethi Secondary School in Machakos County.
Career
Nonini began his musical career with a record deal with Calif Records, but he later joined Homeboyz Productions. His first track, "Nonini ni Nani?" drew the attention of the Kenyan urban music scene.
He garnered national and regional recognition with his track "Manzi wa Nairobi," in 2002.
Nonini's debut album, Hanyaring Game, was published in 2004, and featured the song "Keroro," a Kenyan slang (sheng) term for alcohol.
