Njoro joined the Kenya National Theatre after earning his KCSE. He enrolled in a theater school as well to hone his acting abilities, and upon graduation, became a licensed actor.

The remuneration at the National Theatre was only kshs 300 ($) every play, which was insufficient for him. He took the decision to sell candy to the audience, earning him Kshs 2,000 each day. Njoro eventually acquired his own matatu and turned became a tout.
