Nana Owiti's Biography in Summary

The term "Nana" refers to a person who is well-known for his or her ability to switch on and off a television set. The channel, which has over 25,000 subscribers, has a segment called Parenting 101 where she discusses family issues. She is married to King Kaka, real name Kennedy Ombima, a well-known rapper.

Early Years

Her grandparents and relatives raised the lovely TV siren. Her mother gave birth to her when she was a teen. She was raised in the village and only visited her mother during school breaks. Her mother was a police officer, and they were not particularly close.

Her mother died while she was still young, leaving her with the responsibility of caring for her younger sister. She has never met her biological father.

Education

Nana attended Matungulu Girls High School before enrolling in Kenya Polytechnic, now known as the Technical University of Kenya. She then went to Vision Institute of Professional Studies to get her CPA.

Career

She had to learn to care for herself after losing both of her parents. She has held several jobs, including one as a land salesperson in Kitengela.

She then became a member of Switch TV. Nana did not think the position at the station would suit her because she had never worked in the media before.

Supporting Her Husband, King Kaka

Nana was praised by King Kaka for caring for him when he was sick. The rapper, who has lost more than 30 kilograms, took to social media to reveal the lengths Nana went to ensure his health was restored.

"Please allow me to count my blessings." The last three months have been absolutely terrifying [sic]. This lady, @nanaowiti, has demonstrated and proven what a wife and best friend are.

"From kulala kwa couch ya hospitali next to my bed then you wake up shower in the same hospital, go and smile kwa TV like everything is okay to fighting with Nurses on why they are 'slow',"

King Kaka's Forgiveness After Cheating on her

The media personality revealed to Radio Jambo Japanni Massawe that her marriage was on the verge of disintegration after she discovered King Kaka had cheated on her with Sage. Sage Chemtai was expecting the artist's child at the time she was pregnant with their first child.

Sexual Harassment

Nana spoke out about being molested by an uncle a few months ago. Every time she went to see her mother, her uncle sexually abused her. Her mother would sleep in the bedroom, while she slept in the living room with the aforementioned uncle. When she tried to explain what was going on to her mother, she didn't understand and didn't look into it further.

She grew up with the agony of not being able to tell anyone, including her husband, because she saw herself as damaged goods. She worked up the courage to open up to him one day, and as surprised as he was, he encouraged her to seek therapy. She also confided in a close aunt, but the aunt seemed unwilling to engage in conversation after the initial shock.

Nana revealed to singer Wahu Kagwi that she, too, had been molested by a relative when she was a child. Their confessions sparked a lengthy and emotional discussion in the comments section, with many people claiming to have been in similar situations but lacked the courage to speak up.
