Early Years
In 1985, Michael Augustus Achianja Magoha was born. Professor Magoha has kept his family matters private, so no information about his birthplace has been released. He did, however, attend Strathmore School for primary school before transferring to Brookhouse School for secondary school.
Education
He later enrolled at the University of Nairobi, where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree in 2009. He returned to university after two years and earned a Master of Medicine in Neurological Surgery.
Career
The 38-year-old is a neurosurgery lecturer at the University of Nairobi's Department of Surgery. He previously worked at the Groote Schuur Hospital in South Africa, the University of Cape Town, and the Aga Khan University Teaching Hospital in Nairobi.
Family
Michael Magoha is the only son of the late ex-CS professor George Magoha, who died of a heart attack at Nairobi Hospital. This comes as the family prepares for the burial of Magoha's brother, Prof Richard Alex Nyabera.
