Mbosso's Biography in Summary

Early Life

Mbosso is from a remote village,kibiti in Tanzania where he grew up with his both parents who were poor. He went to school up to the Secondary level and from there he asked his parents’ permission to go to Dares Salam to pursue music which they were very adamant about but gave in eventually. His journey to Dar was difficult but what was even more difficult was his stay in the city because of his Naivety. He had no food, neither did he have a place to sleep so he had to sleep in the streets. His guitar which is among his most precious possessions that he carried from home was what kept him going because he remembered the poverty from home and the unproval of music from his family.

Music

It was through playing the guitar in the streets that he met Mkubwa Fella who noticed his talent and introduced him to his band Mkubwa na Wanawe then formed a group Yamoto Band among three other artists:Aslay,Beka and Enock Bella. Back then Mbosso referred to himself as Marombosso.The Band was well received by not only Tanzania but also East Africa. Among the top songs are Nitakupelepeta,Niseme,Cheza kwa madoido but then the band splitted and that was a hit back to Mbosso making him to go back home to farming. Although talented, he had given up on music and decided to yield up his parents’ farm. The produce was not enough and so Mbosso started to involve himself in criminal activities.

Career relaunch

In 2018, WKB Wasafi owned by Diamond Platnumz, reached out to Mbosso and asked him to join the label which he did as a solo artist. His debut album was ‘Definition of Love’. Joining the Record was not an easy decision because he had tried his luck in music and had not worked as well as he thought. He had a hard time working on his debut album and once again he found himself being involved in criminal activities to earn extra cash. He was saved by love, a girl he had met believed in him and that was motivation to the man he is, song watakubali is dedicated to her. Other hit songs by him are Tamu, baikoko, hodari, sina nyota
