Masoja Msiza is a South African actor, musician, and poet who was born on October 5, 1964. He is well-known for his role as Nkunzi Mhlongo in the South African telenovela Uzalo.

He is also well-known for his role as Bhodlimpi in the soap opera isiBaya. His first appearance was in the second season of Mzansi Magic.

Early years

He was born on October 5, 1964, in Kwa-Thema, a township in the South African province of Gauteng. He discovered his passion for acting when he was nine years old. 

He liked art and drama classes when he was younger. He entered a drama competition at his school when he was 14 years old. He was declared the competition's winner.

Masoja began working after graduating from high school. He found work as a miner. After going on strike with other coworkers, he was fired along with those involved.

The actor then decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, and thus his acting career began. He landed his first acting role, appearing in Gibson Kente's play Mfowethu.

Career

Mziza began as a poet, then moved on to stage acting, and finally to television acting. He is also a musician and a storyteller. 

For decades, the actor has entertained South African audiences. He appeared in a number of well-known films, including Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu and A Million Colors.

The actor is best known for his role in the South African television show Uzalo as crime lord Nkunzebomvu "Nkunzi" Mhlongo.
He has also appeared in television shows such as Scandals!, Shreads and Dreams, Rhythm City, and Intersexions. He has also appeared in Sokhulu & Partners and Making Cents with the Sitholes.

His first starring role on set came in 2016, when he played Mandla in the telenovela Ring of Lies. Masoja Msiza wrote poems for the South African National Football Team during the AFCON tournament in Tunisia in 2004.

The actor has written and performed poetry for Ukhozi FM. He read promotional poems on South Africa's largest radio station. Masoja Msiza presented the Cothoza Music Award to Dudu Khoza in June 2019. Ladysmith Black Mambazo, an Acapella group, hosted the event.

Personal life

Masoja Msiza had a wife named Innocentia. According to reports, the couple has divorced. He stated in one of his statements that he misses his children and all those close to him. He claimed that he had been through a lot and would not want his children to go through anything similar. 

The well-known actor grew up in Kwa Thema township, which is located east of Johannesburg, South Africa. Although the actor is fluent in several languages, Zulu is self-taught.
