Jimwat went to Calif Records while still in Form 4 and recorded his first song, Sema Nami Sweetheart (Sheng for talk to me sweetie). Other stations soon followed suit. The next year, he was featured in Paulina by Rhaptaz (a group comprised of Gabu of P-Unit), which became a club success and was utilized in the Close-Up Dance-o-Mania competition.
