Senator Isaac Mwaura is a well-known political figure and advocate for people with disabilities. Isaac is the first albino to be elected to the House of Commons. He has a wide range of expertise advocating for the well-being of people like himself in a world and culture that has long ignored them.

Mwaura Isaac is a well-educated guy with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in a variety of subjects. He completed primary and high school at Thika (High) School for the Blind and was accepted to Kenyatta University.
He currently holds degrees in Special Education, French Studies and Japanese, Theology, Public Relations Management, Development Studies, and Philosophy in Humanities. All of these he obtained both locally and from institutions abroad.
His time on campus was spent reading and participating in activism. He advocated for disabled students' access to university education, for just and lawful leadership, and constitutionally changed things to make campus life a healthy and better experience for all students.
Isaac Mwaura's Professional Career
During his university years, he was a member of various local and international organizations and organisations formed to address the problems of disadvantaged populations. He was later appointed as a special advisor in Raila Odinga's office in areas pertaining to special groups.
In 2006, he founded The Albinism Society of Kenya to address the plight of the country's albinos, who face prejudice, torture, murder, and unjust treatment because of their looks. This progress has resulted in various milestones and accomplishments for albinos, demonstrating that they are equals and as capable as the rest of the population. These include an East African albino beauty contest, Mumbi Ngugi's appointment as a Judge of the High Court, and Goldalyn Kakuya's outstanding 455/500 score in the 2017 national primary school exams.
Isaac Mwaura's Personal Life, Wife
Senator Dr. Isaac married Mukami Nelius, with whom he has a son named Mwaura Njiru. With albinism, he has discussed his problems with living among people who discriminate against individuals like him, as well as the constant high-alertness in fear of their safety.
