Dar es Salaam. Award winning rapper Rick Ross addressed  rumors that he and Diamond Platnumz’s baby mama Tanzanian actress, model Hamisa Mobetto are an item.

During an interview with a local radio host, Ross said he and Hamisa are close, but he will leave the explanation of the nature of their relationship to her.

“To be honest, there is a connection but then I’m going to leave it to her to explain the nature of the relationship we share,” said Ross.

He added: She is such a beautiful person, beautiful spirit and she is a huge entrepreneur and I want to help her take it to the next level because she is doing a great job and I’m proud of her.

“There are a couple of other things but all in all I just want to see her win,” he said.

Ross’s statement on his friendship with Hamisa comes at a time he had raised eyebrows with comments on Hamisa Mobetto’s Instagram page whenever she uploads new photos.

Upon hearing Rick Ross's sentiments about her, Hamisa took to social media to express her gratitude and promised to link up with the rapper.

"Awwww I'm Truly honored..... Thank you ????@richforever I appreciate the Love ??, See You soon," she commented.

Many have speculated that Ross has been trying to get Hamisa’s attention for them to start dating. In the same spirit, the rapper managed to secure Hamisa a deal with Luc Belaire and an interview with Luc Belaire CEO under their Self-Made segment.

However, in June, Rick Ross’s comment on Hamisa's photos prompted his rumored girlfriend Tommie Lee to declare that she is single.

Tommie Lee is an urban model, rapper and has been in the famous reality show, Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta.

In 2011, she participated for the Miss Indian Ocean 2011 beauty pageant, she emerged as 2nd runner up. That same year, she also emerged second which made her compete for Miss Tanzania 2011. In 2012, she participated in Miss University Africa and succeeded among the top 10. 

In 2017, She was nominated for People’s Choice Award and Super Mum at the Starqt International Awards. 

In 2018, she won Female stylish Of The Year at the Swahili fashion Week Awards. That same year, she was appointed as the host of Miss Tanzania Beauty pageant. That same year, she was nominated for Best East African Woman Entrepreneur at the BEFFTA Awards. 

In December 2020, she won Best Female Digital Model of the Year at the Tanzania Digital Awards. 

Music 

In 2017, Hamisa appeared on a video with Diamond Platnumz on the hit single Salome. 

In 2018, she released her debut single "Madam Hero". The single introduced her in Bongo Flava industry as a musician and has since garnered over two million views on YouTube.  In that same year she released the single "Tunaendana" 

In 2021, she launched her own record label, Mobetto Music. 

Personal life 

Mobetto was previously in a relationship with Francis Ciza and they became the parents of a daughter, Fantasy Majizzo. She was then in a relationship with singer Diamond Platnumz and they welcomed a son, Deedalayan Abdul Naseeb, in 2017. The couple later broke up for unknown reasons. 

In September 2021, it was rumoured that she was in a relationship with American rapper Rick Ross.
